Uncover The Impact on your Patients' Daily Lives

Be ready to recognize recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis (RVVC)

Nearly 75% of all adult women have had at least one yeast infection in their lifetime.1 Approximately half of these women experience a recurrence, with 6-9% developing recurrent VVC.2-6 RVVC is defined as 3 or more VVC episodes over a 12-month period.1

Chronic yeast infection, RVVC, is defined as

3 or more episodes within a 12-month period

RVVC can have a significant impact on patients' day-to-day lives. In fact, in a recent patient survey, 76% of women found RVVC to be distressing and 96% of women modified their lifestyle to adapt to RVVC.7-9,*

RVVC may leave women feeling uncomfortable bringing up issues impacting their daily lives. Women impacted by RVVC may have to miss work, on average 39.2 hours per year in the US, stop exercising, change their diet, and face many daily challenges that you can’t help combat if you aren’t told about them.7, 8, 10 Encourage your patients to talk about how RVVC impacts them. Here are some questions to start the conversation.
